Description:

The over-representation of people living with serious mental illnesses within the criminal justice system is a problem that has become impossible to ignore. However, what is harder to grasp, is what to do about it.

No two people understand the complexity of these issues better than our guests. We are incredibly honored to have them on our upcoming zoom cast.

  • John Snook, Executive Director of the Treatment Advocacy Center which has been instrumental in writing federal policy to remove legal barriers to psychiatric treatment and care; as well as implementing Assisted Outpatient Treatment programs across the country. John describes his work in this Forensic In-Service Podcast with Stephen Koonz

Co-hosts: Janet Hays and Eric Smith will lead an interactive conversation to focus on ending the criminalization of serious mental illness. We can’t wait to hear your questions!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
